Over forty years ago I caught a creative itch that soon led to woodcarving. I've never been one that seeks skills from others so I started with the wrong tools and the wrong wood. Over those many years I developed my own carving style and designs. My carvings no doubt number in the thousands and what you see today is the result of my work over all those years. Today, I carve the finest northern basswood. Most of my painting is with thin acrylic washes. Sandpaper never touches the carved surface so you can clearly see my bold knife cuts. My carvings are finished with coats of clear satin Polyurethane.
